Bi The Way with Cyn and Jack: Are Guys Harder or Easier to Date?
james: i have to say that when miss cleo started to appear on the queercast, i really wasn't so sure about it -- i mean, c'mon, she was taken as seriously by many as the people who peddle bankruptcy and cheap car insurance on latenight TV commercials. But in the time she has been on, i've come to look forward to and appreciate her appearances. I enjoy the times when she predicts stuff but i also really like hearing her talk about her life and her life experiences and her perspective on things and i get inspired listening to her, and i think she and amy work well together.
the bi segment, um, well, let's just say that i haven't fast-forwarded thru it the past couple times its been on, which is what i used to do. It used to be unlistenable, both technically and otherwise - i just didn't quite get it, and that's coming from someone who sometimes identifies as bi. but it's clear that lately those two folks have been putting a lot of effort into it and well, it's getting better.
i thought amy had a good perspective on the whole 'we're not as bad as those people' thought that we supposedly progressive people have, yet in our own towns and bars and clubs and organizations, well, we might not be as progressive as we'd like to think. well, we grow, and growth is not something that ever ends.
this was all around a great show.
