WCQ219 When I Knew

Host: Amy Matheny with co-Host Deb Pearce

What the hell is Amy doing with Deb's box? Deb is still in Chicago on Amy's couch.  What is Deb's story of when she knew she was gay? How many Canadian singers can you name? Amy was really Annie Oakley at a young age! Blow jobs and hand jobs? Holy crap these girls really chat it up!

Movie Minute: John Cusack's political satire, War Inc.

Guest: Documentarian, Randy Barbato talks with Amy on this Queercast. He created the short film, When I Knew, based on the Robert Trachtenberg novel of the same name. A simple statement with amazing stories attached to it. It debuts on Cinemax on June 25th. For more information and more stories, go to

What did Deb do all night long? Listen to Deb on Monday-Friday 10am-3pm EST.

Deb Pearce: Well what can I say Oh dear - Amy Matheny takes my commercial-radio-filter off and boy oh boy - what a fun podcast this one was! Amy! Hi! I had fun with you in Chicago and can't wait to do our next podcast. My goodness - what will you get me to admit next? Yikes!

Jeff S: Amy! And Deb too! I love it..The show was very informative and i was glad I knew I was gay sometime at 14..I use to love looking at the guys in the locker room my age-just after puberty. But, I hid it for many years.I thought maybe I could be a basketball player ...So, I went to basketball camp..It turns out years later...I came out at 27.I love the confessions of u and Mz Pearce. I am looking forward to the rest of the summer and seeing everyone at pride and the parade...I feel real good about our future w/ CA approving weddings..There will be a place of happiness, fulfillment and committment in the future..I just know and sense it w/ the way the world is turning especially in the great month of June where we can all come out and be proud...Love,peace and happiness, jeff S.
